I have GOT to make a new layout for this blog... I have so much stuff I wanna blog about *coughcoughsdkcoughcough* but I just can't bear to do so with such an ugly layout. i_i All right then... shall make sure to have one up after the first week on July... (hope this doesn't turn out to be another one of my false promises. ^_^;;)

If I'm not wrong, I think W-Juliet has ended already, with the 14th volume being the last one. How sad... it's finally ended. :(

Oh yeah, I found out the Japanese title of the show they screened last time at Comics Club - it's called "Tokyo Juushoden", (Or "Tokyo Juushouden" or even "Toukyou Juusoden, [!!!] depending on how you want to romanise it) which I think has been translated to "10 warriors of Tokyo". Other than that, I've been unable to find anything - there aren't any websites on it, at least not that I've been able to find. And sorry, I haven't been able to find out the name of the seiyuu of the guy you like. :(

Lastly - went out with my parents to Queensway yesterday to buy a new pair of track shoes since the soles of my current one are coming up. While there, I stumbled upon a game shop and managed to buy 2 PS1 games and 3 PS2 games. My parents are so generous. *grin* For the PS1 games, I bought Final Fantasy Chronicles, which consists of FFIV and Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy Origins, which would be FF1 and FF2. The PS2 games are Xenosaga and .hack//Infection (*_*) as well as Gensuikoden 3. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be playing them any time soon thanks to the tons of homework awaiting me... >_<

i wanna use this -grin- i'm extremely lazy as you can tell... hehe...

mm i have this overwhelming urge to play ToD again... but with so much work to catch up with, a bio test and two econs tests coming up, i think i better not... sigh...

oh i love W-Juliet! is it ending soon? cos they're already in the last part of high school right... and mako's dad has sort of approved also... sigh i don't want the series to end so fast!!!!!! i love it.. and i love ito's brothers hehe all of them... sigh... i can't stand it when nice series end, cos it'll be one less enjoyment in life... sigh i'm getting depressed just thinking about it...

Hey Ri-chan! I've decided to use this blog to ramble on about anime/manga/video games/whatever, while I'll keep my frosted sugar one solely for blogging about my personal life, since I think some people might find it boring if I babble on about anime or manga and they have no idea what I'm talking about. :)

Do you still want to use this blog, though? Since you haven't blogged here in a while and you said you don't really know what to blog about. Don't let me force you into using this blog if you don't want to - if you feel like you don't want to use it anymore, feel free to remove yourself. Of course, I'll prefer it if you DID use it, but the choice is up to you. :)

I'll get round to making a new layout for this blog soon - it is DEFINITELY in dire need of one, since it's really ridiculous to still keep our "revision status" thingies up when we don't need them anymore. ^_^;;

Ri-channnnnnnnnnnn......... blooooooooooogggggggggggg!!!!! :p

*posted by YYJ on 2/18/2003 02:54:00 AM

Oh yeah, and I just realised... do you have any idea what you want to put in the column on the left? Because everything there doesn't apply anymore, yet I don't want to erase it and leave it bare... maybe we should just change the layout completely so that there's only one column?

*posted by YYJ on 2/02/2003 07:26:00 AM

Okay, so after a reeeeeeally long time, this blog's finally alive again. :) Ri-chan, don't worry about updating this blog regularly... you don't have to. Just post whenever you feel like... after all, like you said, we've already got xxoo, so there'll be no point repeating stuff from there here.

About today... even though we didn't get to spend that much time as I would have liked together, I'm really glad I got to meet up with you and Cheryl. It's only been a week since I saw all of you and I already missed you... how am I going to survive the following months? Also, I had just got home when I realised that I had forgotten to hug you. It's funny, really, especially since I had this urge to go around hugging people the whole day (which I didn't in the end... I restrained myself. ^_^). Never mind. I'll give you an extra long one next Sunday. :)

Oh yes! And I need advice! I saw the Tales of Destiny manga in Kino the other day (Not today... the shops were all closing early for CNY eve, which I stupidly forgot), and I asked them whether there was a Chinese version, but it doesn't seem so. I REALLY want it - have you SEEN the covers? *drool* So what I wanted to ask is... do you think I'll really be a waste of money if I buy it? Especially since there wasn't a volume 1... but maybe I can use this as an incentive to study Japanese. :) Oh, and that reminds me... are we going to continue with our japanese lessons? Will you have the time to do so? Because JC life is really hectic...

Will be waiting for your answer or our outing on Sunday, whichever comes first. *grin*

Argh... have only JUST realised how disgustingly bad my Physics is. I knew it was horrible before, but I didn't think is was THIS terrible. 0_o How am I ever going to finish before Wednesday? Not to mention there's Chemistry on Thursday as well which, although I am slightly better in than Physics, I am still very behind in studying. I have tons of papers to complete for both subjects, as well as the TYSs... I am SO going to die. >_<

Thank god Bio's on the next Monday... I don't even want to reveal how LITTLE I've done for that subject. And to think Bio used to my favourite science... I think now I absolutely hate it. >_<

IYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't WANT to do that stupid essay for Mrs. Lim!!!!!! >_< Now I really, REALLY regret being absent on the day when we were supposed to choose which teacher mentors we wanted. *sobs* Why couldn't I get someone as nice and lovely and encouraging like Mrs. Choo? Not that Mrs Lim's evil or anything (although I know some who might beg to differ. ^_^;;;). I DO like her, and she CAN be very nice, but it's just that she scares me. A lot. 0_o You never know what she's thinking - she's the terrifying type who always has a smile on her face, even when she scolds you. *blanches* And everything she says has a meaning to it - I bet if I ever bumped into her in Orchard Road and engaged in a casual conversation with her, she'd eventually point out stuff like how it's good that I'm relaxing and having fun, but oh by the way have I been studying hard as well? -_-

Well, on the bright side, maybe she'll be able to scare me to be doing some WORK for a change. *kicks lazy self*

Oh, and today was VERY bad. Dare I say... C5 for BOTH Physics and Bio? Hello? Do I suck or what? Not to mention I totally deserve the marks I got... sometimes I just hate myself for being such a lazy bum. I'm really, really hoping they moderate both Physics and Chem, though - I really need an A2 for Chem, and am also hoping for at least B3 for Physics, but what are the chances of THAT happening? *sigh*

I had BETTER not screw up Lit and Combined Humanities. I am SO counting on those subjects to save my wretched soul. A1 is possible for Lit, (maybe, although there IS a chance I might have mucked up the second question of paper 2) but I don't think I'll be able to get 32.5 for Social Studies to get that A1. I AM the one of the few who failed SS last year, you know. (Why did they have to introduce this stupid SS combination? Getting 37.5/50 for half-geog's not going to help if I fail SS)

Come out, all you benevolent forces out there! Just give me those 2 A1s and the A2 for Chemistry, pleeeeeeeeeeeeease? I know I deserve everything I'm getting, but I promise to work harder for the O's! i_i

*posted by YYJ on 9/30/2002 07:04:00 AM

Okay, so I DID die for Physics. Very, extremely badly. I'm just hoping they moderate it, since a lot of people didn't seem to have enough time to finish. But what with our school having a "reputation for non-moderation" and all, I'm actually wondering whether they'll be willing to take pity on us.

And the quote for the next hour until I go to bed... "DIE, A-MATHS, DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

p/s Ri-chan, even my tutor said the A-math paper 1 was tedious. Unfortunately, I don't think it would have made any difference in my case since I'm so lousy in the first place.

*posted by YYJ on 9/19/2002 07:14:00 AM

A-maths was bad.

And am going to die for Physics tomorrow.

Am currently trying to cram as much Julius Caesar in my brain as possible - unfortunately, I don't think I'm doing it fast enough. >_< And THEN I have to read my notes for the twentieth century short stories and I have what, 30 pages in total? Methinks I shall be sleeping VERY late tonight. *sighs*

Oh, and FFIX has corrupted me. Every time I see the name "Cinna" in Julius Caesar I keep think off FFIX's Cinna. Especially during Act 2 scene iii whereby Cassius goes "'Tis Cinna, I know him by his gait." Then I think of Cinna ambling along waving his hammer. *grin*

Eeks. Running out of time... must CRAM! *dashes off to do so*

Note to self:

STUDY, DAMN YOU! >_<

*posted by YYJ on 9/05/2002 01:31:00 AM

results of the weekend just past.
it was still pretty ok on friday, but from saturday, i got complacent, and barely did anything. *sobs* at this rate, I'm going to fail. To quote Carissa, I can "throw stones the first three months".

Ok, I did the RGS physics and Amaths papers (though I got stuck at question 1 of Paper 2 for AMaths), I finished the St Theresa paper, and I started reading up on Russia. Like the 1 out of 30 parts or something like that. >.< bleah. And I studied Acid, Bases, Salts, Air Pollution, Bonding, Atomic Structure. Ugh. I took all the easy topics first.

Goals for this weekend:
Study for Bio Practical (Nutrition, Nutrition in Mammals, Excretion, Reproduction in plants, Enzymes, Diffusion and Osmosis). Good news is, I've sort of finished Nutrition (both chapters), Excretion, Enzymes, Diffusion and osmosis. Bad news is, I have no idea what's going on in Reproduction at all, and it's such a huge chapter. AND I can't draw to save my life/ save my Bio grade.
Study for Chem practical. (at least it's easier) Go through Redox and Chemical Calculations. For a person who's reasonably good in Maths (I mean, they ARE my best subjects, after all), I so totally suck at it. I CAN'T COUNT!!!!!!!! *wails*
Finish the AMaths revision papers and the RGS paper2.
Do the June 2002 EMaths paper
Finish the RGS Physics Paper 2
Do one of the two Chem papers we received recently (whatever paper it is)
Finish Russia (At least) and maybe Germany.

...
somehow I think I have very high confidence in myself.
I'll come back and tell you whether I survive the weekend. If you don't hear anymore of me, you know what caused me to die =p
I hate being in Sec 4

*posted by Tiffany on 8/21/2002 03:14:00 AM

Things that I definitely MUST finish by today (or latest tomorrow for the last two items):

- Study for tomorrow's Bio test on Genetics
- Read through past Physics practicals
- Revise the following topics completely: Heat, Light, Optics and Electricity. ESPECIALLY Electricity.

Am going to die for Physics Practical on Friday. >_<

*posted by YYJ on 8/21/2002 01:12:00 AM

Let me see... schedule for this week, maybe? (Mostly a copy and paste of the previous, plus extra stuff)

- Finish E-maths, Chemistry, Physics and A-maths papers. (Though I doubt I'll be able to finish the A-maths ones by this week)
- Finish up the Paper 2 section on the topic of Vectors for E-maths (Finished the Paper 1 section. ^_^), then go on to other subjects. preferably the ones I suck at first. (Coordinate Geometry, Transformation)
- Read the E-lite (sp?) magazine to improve my lousy English and Lit skills. Guess I'll also compile a vocab list for English, as well as the list of adjectives for mood and tone for Lit at the same time. Also read some short stories so I can improve my already barren imagination.
- Revise A-maths. Especially the more basic ones that I'm bad at, like trigonometry.

Stuff I MUST complete by Friday:

- Read through Past Physics Practicals, compile list of mistakes I should look out for.
- Revise Physics. Most probably (99%) won't be able to finish all topics, so I shall stick to the ones that usually come out in practicals. (Eg. Light, Heat, Sound...)

Am currently typing out the summaries for the Twentieth Short Stories in point form. I WAS supposed to do it earlier today, but I fell asleep for like two and a half hours. >_< Of all the times to take a nap (I usually don't), it just HAD to be today. Ugh. Have a feeling I'll be staying up late again today, especially since I have the Antony vs Brutus thing to too by tomorrow's lit lecture... *sigh*

*posted by YYJ on 8/19/2002 07:27:00 AM

*sigh* I knew it. Guess I'll have to go re-work that schedule, or put it as next week's schedule or something. ESPECIALLY since I remembered another thing to do - go read though ALL Physics, Chemistry and Bio practicals and note down mistakes. -_-

Oh, and if you think YOUR column's lousy, look at mine. >_<

*posted by YYJ on 8/16/2002 03:55:00 AM

wait. i take back what i said about the amaths papers thingy. cos Mrs Leong just gave us another 1 or 2 more papers, and if she thinks I'm going to finish all 4 papers in 3 days, she can think again.
even i don't love Amaths that much.

So my goals are: Do the RGS Physics paper, the RGS Amaths paper, the Bio papers, the St Theresa EMaths paper, the 2001 Amaths paper 2 , and study Chem. Acid, Bases, Salts, Redox, Energy Changes and Organic Chem. And do the chem TYS on Organic Chem. And start reading on Russia.
Sigh
Anyway, Firet, I'm sorry, but.... I think you have very very high goals to meet. Trust me. I'm the pro at not meeting my goals/ keeping to my schedule/timetable. =p Set lower expectations for yourself. Unless, of course, you do what I did and stay up until 4 am doing AMaths. =p It's really alot.
still hoping I do get some studying done (instead of only doing the whole pile of work that we're dumped with), so that the column on the left will look less pathetic (under mine)

*posted by Tiffany on 8/16/2002 02:24:00 AM

I can't BELIEVE it. I spent about TWO hours with my tutor doing only FIVE lousy sums on relative velocity. And I STILL have 13 more to go. ARGH!!!!!!!! Have I ever mentioned that I really, REALLY hate A-maths? >_< My only reassurance is that we don't have to pass up the homework until Monday.

AND I need to do more work. I've done hardly anything these past few days! I just loathe being so lazy. *kicks self*

Oh, and Ri-chan, don't worry about falling asleep every time you attempt to do your bio papers. At least YOU don't keep falling asleep during Physics lessons. >_< (But I stayed awake today though. What a miracle. ^_^)

And yes, I think I shall set goals for myself this weekend. Tell me if I'm being too ambitious, okay? (Since this is like, the first time in my life I am actually bothering to set a goal for studying, so I am, shall we say, rather "inexperienced". -_-) They are:

- Finish the E-maths papers. (Just need to do the last few questions of a few papers, I think. I know I'm already almost done with the St. Theresa and St. Andrew and MGS ones... don't think I've tried the ACS Independent one though.)

- Work on the Chemistry papers they gave us AGES ago and that I never got around to doing.

- Finish up A-maths papers, as well as the homework previously mentioned. (I am SO looking forward to that. -_- But after managing to finish only 10 questions in one and a half hours in a paper with 14 questions that have to be done in only two hours, I now know that I need as much practice as possible or else I'll never be able to finish the exam paper on time.)

- Do the summaries of the Twentieth Short Stories.

- Read the E-lite (sp?) magazine to improve my lousy English and Lit skills. Guess I'll also compile a vocab list for English, as well as the list of adjectives for mood and tone for Lit at the same time. Also read some short stories so I can improve my already barren imagination.

Looks like a lot. And I'm not even done with the rest of the subjects yet. 0_o

Reminder: If I don't finish at MINIMUM half the stuff on this list, I will REALLY kick myself.

*posted by YYJ on 8/15/2002 07:25:00 AM

Ok. I wasn't as naughty as I had expected
I finished the St Andrews Emaths paper, as well as Physics Paper 1 of RGS and NYGH. As for bio... I really give up. It really isn't my fault. It's just that it has such an adverse effect on me. I fall asleep everytime I take the paper out to do. It's happened four times. I can even fall asleep while writing out the answers... that's how scary it is. Can't blame me, blame my body. =p

Short-term goals (ie goals for this week): Finish all the AMaths papers we have on hand, the RGS physics paper, the bio paper (yes, I shall attempt to do so), Study Acids, Bases, Salts, Redox, Metals and Air Pollution for chem, finish all the EMaths papers (Which technically is only the St Theresa paper)
Wish me luck

*posted by Tiffany on 8/14/2002 03:22:00 AM

Yeap. There are two papers for Chinese.

Anyway, I thought that "Heart of Darkness" is quite cool... But I'll tell you what I think of it after I've finished my Lit homework on it... somehow I have this premonition that my feelings towards Joseph Conrad will take a U-turn after my homework.

As for the long weekend, I will (and I solemnly swear to do so) finish all the bio papers, the E Maths papers (St Andrew and St Theresa), paper 1 of the RGS and NYGH physics papers, the history paper. I WILL....

*posted by Tiffany on 8/07/2002 01:25:00 AM

Two papers? I thought the only difference is that you have Chinese and I don't... but that's YOUR problem for choosing Higher Chinese, so nyaaaa. :p

And argh... am typing out my Literature essay now, and I really, really don't like the story "The Secret Sharer"... maybe my dislike for it is worsened by the fact that I don't want to do an essay for it. Or maybe it's because the Captain just bugs me... it's like he's obsessed with this "double" of his... if I see another reference to something being "two" or "double" or whatever, I'm going to SCREAM. >_<

Will rant more about the story in the future - there's LOTS I want to complain about. >_< But I shall have to run off now and finish my essay... *sigh*

*posted by YYJ on 8/04/2002 07:00:00 AM

Phew...
Works.... finally... feel free to change the template... I just stuck to the basic one... as in, the way you want to display the time, date, nickname etc etc...
Anyway, I've done the Prelim timetable. How do you want to publish it?
And I realised how unfair it is. You have two papers less than me. And you get the day before A Maths paper 1 (or is it 2?) free... >.<
Shall go and finish up the bio papers...
